Some verbs need a reflexive pronoun (myself, yourself…), even where English doesn't: sich freuen (to be happy), sich setzen (to sit down), sich fühlen (to feel), sich interessieren für (to be interested in), sich beeilen (to hurry).
When there is another object, such as a part of the body, use the dative form: Ich wasche mir die Hände.

|---|---|---|
| ich | mich | mir |
| du | dich | dir |
| er / sie / es | sich | sich |
| wir | uns | uns |
| ihr | euch | euch |
